I have happily retired to Valdosta, Ga, where I was born and raised. I spent my career as an international development consultant who roamed the world trying to put together housing and urban programs in developing countries. However, I am proudest of having achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, served in the U. S. Army and completed a two-year stint as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Venezuela. Here at home, I serve on the Boards of our local Salvation Army unit and the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra. I volunteer as well on our HFH builds where they, very kindly, put up with an old man’s feeble efforts. A couple of years ago I worked on a GV build in Costa Rica while also carrying out a research project for the HFH Latin American office there. My favorite sport is watching PGA events on TV. I spend the rest of my free time searching for my family’s roots and then hitting the road when life gets a little too slow. The First United Methodist Church welcomes my presence most Sundays.
