Hello Team - I am sitting in a little café in the mountains of Colorado writing this note and thinking ahead to our adventure in Argentina. I have never been to Argentina and am looking forward to being on the same team as my daughter, Carrie. Our second child, Matt, is a singer-songwriter who lives in LA. He is heading for Mongolia on a Habitat build starting in early August. My husband, Loren, and I have lived in Denver since 1974. I am a Psychologist, now retired from Denver Health Medical Center, where I developed and headed up the outpatient Child and Family Team. DHMC is our city hospital responsible for treatment of the medically underserved. Loren is a Skin Pathologist who is on the faculty of the medical school. He loves his work, especially teaching, and has no plan to retire. My former Habitat builds have been in India (following the Tsunami), South Africa, and Honduras. Each has been different and meaningful. I enjoy waking each day with a sense of purpose. We have traveled to most continents, and have done some walking or hiking wherever we have gone. My favorite walk was across England from coast to coast. I also enjoy gardening, reading, working out and spending time with friends and my 89-year-old mother, Granny, who lives nearby. Look forward to meeting you all.
