A 59 yr. old retired teacher from Barrington, Illinois. My community is 30 minutes from O'Hare Airport. I have been married to Christine, a fifth grade teacher, for 27 years. Our daughter, Meredith, is at U. of Illinois, where she is on the golf team. I have been fortunate over the past ten years to have lead adult/youth groups to South Dakota (Wounded Knee) and Wyoming (Wind River). We specialized in erecting playgrounds and running Vacation Bible Schools (I am of the Episcopal Faith). I have made two trips to the Gulf Coast in the past two years, helping Katrina victims in Long Beach, Pass Christian and Bay St Louis in Mississippi. I have worked for our local HFH affiliate for years and have yearned to go International. I've traveled to Ireland, Scotland, England, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Romania and Russia. Going over the Pacific Ocean, I have visited Australia twice, New Zealand, Fiji, Tahiti and Hawaii. Since retirement I have been a consultant for the University of Arizona in the Health Science Department (we have a second home in Tucson). My hobbies include hiking, mt. biking, photography and meeting with friends. I do like to be adventurous, like jumping out of an airplane on my 50th birthday and taking a zip- line over the rain forest in Costa Rica on my first Global Village trip. I can't wait to be a part of this team in Argentina. I think Daniel and Frank have so much experience that it will be exciting and fruitful.
