I live in Nanaimo, located on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. I have recently retired from Fisheries and Oceans Canada, where I worked as a research scientist for 28 years. I still work part-time for Fisheries mainly in an international scientific forum dealing with Pacific tuna populations. Depending on the weather, I golf, kayak, bicycle and ski in my spare time. I joined the local HFH affiliate in October 2005 as a member of the Board of Directors, serving as Build Committee chair. We have completed two Habitat Homes in Nanaimo since last September. My wife, Cathy, and I strongly support the HFH mission and we would like to contribute to the Global Village Program. We were on a Global Village Build in Guatemala last November and enjoyed the experience very much. We are looking forward to working with the Argentina team and learning about Argentina.
